Bush Telegraph

We had a brainstorming session to come up with ideas for the launch of the Regional Centre of Culture, Port Augusta Re-imagines! And just what can you do, to celebrate creativity and to commence the most amazing program of Arts and Culture ever to happen in a South Australian regional city? The idea grew out of an inspiration to set something up in the public space of Gladstone Square, where people could add their own ideas, messages or feelings about ...Port Augusta Re-imagines.

This led to the plan to construct the Bush Telegraph, which was a place where we could install themed questions to inspire people, as well as some posters about some of the events to happen during the year.

Despite it being a rather windy afternoon, the Bush Telegraph looked great - thanks especially to our very dedicated volunteers who ensured that everything remained securely fastened to the lines. The volunteers also talked to the public who came to have a look, encouraging them to add their own ideas and messages to the lines.

It was a fine addition to the space and after the installation was taken down at the end of the night, we felt that it might be a good idea to install it again on another public occasion.

But even without the actual installation, we would like to encourage people to respond to the questions, be inspired and to think creatively... and to send us ideas for these pages, which will become the Virtual Bush Telegraph. Below are the questions, respond however you wish! (And feel free to suggest your own question... I am sure we haven't thought of all of them!
