I have discovered some very interesting people in Port Augusta, Wilmington and Quorn - people who have been collecting for MANY years and whose collections make my meagre lifetime of hoarding things pale in comparison.
There are people who collect old stuff and make it like new; those who collect broken stuff and make it work; some who collect facts and figures and know seemingly everything about everything; and those who collect stories about other people to preserve them for posterity; still others who collect old photos or books... and on it goes.
So I have begun a new hobby which I shall share will you all. I intend to collect all the collectors, and to bring them all together this year. And its a wonderful year for we collectors to be collecting together, because the National Trust, History Trust, Artlab, SA Museum and State Library are coming to Port Augusta to talk about collections and collecting.
