The Launch of Port Augusta Re-imagines!

by Lucy Paynter on 16.2.2008

Port Augusta Re-imagines had a very special opening bonanza kind of event... on Friday night, the 14th Feb 2008. If you weren't there, sadly, you missed out on a FREE barbecue, lots of familiar faces, great entertainment, a bush telegraph AND a bunch of spunky football players. Oh mi god, it was amazing, to everyone's complete amazement and delight, they busted out through a video screen at the very end of the show and started handing out the programs!!!

Not only were there more than a dozen gorgeous fellas there in person, they were all from the three different teams.... Central, West and Souths, so you have to be stoked that they could all pull together to make the night so amazing because normally they'd be hammering each other. He he. Anyway, WELL DONE GUYS, it was a superb effort!

Aside from that I have to say that the Barbecue was a good effort, but I was too distracted by the fun stuff going on the stages to eat anything. Desert Voices and Andy Killcross and a Country Music singer, and if that is any idea of what is to come, Good! It definitely will be a fun year for everyone. I especially can't wait to see the Barracks up in operation again. And if you are looking for what I added to the Bush Telegraph.... well, my drawing wasn't that great but you should be able to recognize my bicycle for the kind of car, and for song, I'm saying that if Port Augusta is a song its gotta be Paul Kelly's "From Little Things, Big Things Grow"! Top That!
